From World Models to Light Fields: The Runtime Pipeline

Spatial Computing Lab

World models understand geometry, semantics, and intent. Illume's runtime turns that intelligence into light fields so the answer, not just the idea, appears in space.

Normalizing Diverse AI Output

Fei-Fei Li's spatial reasoning, Meta's SceneGPT, or your in-house Digital Twin can provide depth maps, NeRFs, or mesh + pose data. We normalize every payload into a canonical color + depth + pose contract and feed it to our view synthesis engine.

Physical Calibration

Each Illume device has optics, lenses, and mechanical tolerances. The runtime applies per-device calibration tables, linearizes lighting, and compensates for viewpoint parallax so the synthesized world model always matches the actual room.

Closed-Loop Feedback

Sensors stream occupant positions, lighting, and occlusion data back to the AI system. When the world model updates, it flows through the runtime, which smoothly morphs the light field without jarring transitions. Together, this closed loop keeps reality generation grounded in the lives it serves.
